When a life threatening spinal cord injury left me relearning how to walk, shower and clothe myself, then a five-year chronic illness came into the picture just two years later... I didn't know if I'd make it.
I didn't know if God was FOR me.
And I didn't realise He actually CHOSE me to overcome, well... all of it.
And when I prayed for physical healing a BILLION times and it kept not happening when I wanted it to... that hurt. I felt betrayed by God - gasp! How could someone call themselves a Christian and tell God they're mad at Him in the same sentence?
Well friend, you better believe I did.
When I finally stopped pretending I wasn't disappointed in God and allowed myself to FEEL that disappointment... I got honest with Him about it.
And I found Him right smack dab in the middle of it.
He was just waiting for me to be real with Him. And when I finally was, He'd wrap His arms around me and cry right along with me.
He started showing me His God-kisses all over my wilderness season. And eventually shifted my perspective and helped me see that most of my physical circumstances weren't going to improve until I received the spiritual and emotional healing I needed all along...
Inner healing is no joke, friend.
It's messy, frustrating and confusing 95% of the time... can I get an amen?!
But through all of the moments I didn't understand... and yes, there were a LOT of them let me tell you...
I kept hearing Him remind me over and over again to stay faithful in the mystery. He'd say:
"I'll bring clarity when you stay faithful in the mystery, Kristi."
That stuck with me. I realised as I continued to stay faithful in the mystery to Jesus, He would eventually prove His faithfulness to me...
In His timing, and His way.
His faithfulness became my anchor. His promises became my lifeline. And I held onto every word He said for dear life, every single day...
Because it was all I had left to cling to.

But here's a sneaky little secret for you: It's not greater levels, greater devils... it's greater levels, greater GOD. The greater the attacks on your life, the greater God's gonna show up for you... and the GREATER Christ's anointing is inside of you. Whoooop!
If I can be that permission granter in your life that whispers "you're enough just as you are, girl. and you're going to make it through this" while everyone and everything else around you says you're not... then I'll consider my job done.
